If you have paid attention to this blog, you've noticed that there has been complete silence for the many months. In mid-December, there was a problem with the blog and I lost all the posts I had created since I started it in August of 2020 when we moved from Haslett to Traverse City. So that was a bit discouraging as I didn't have a backup. And I'm and IT guy so I know the importance of backups. Oh well. At least I have the images and I'll start recreating the past posts from memory and hope for the best. Lesson learned - weekly backups from now on.
To get things kicked off on this new version of my blog, here is a picture of the front of my house at the peak of winter which this year has been particularly bad. Though the picture was taken in December, the Christmas lights are still on the house because there was too much snow to take them down. (I'm taking them down today. Finally!)
