This was the sad state of our birdfeeder in late October 2024:
When bears want bird food, bears get bird food. And thus, our feeding of the birds ended early in 2024. The bear had bent the steel post that secured the longer feeder pole to the ground, and I had to take it to Ace Welding & Machine to get it straightened out. After they were done, it was good as new.
And so, with the bear just about to come out of hibernation (hey, we had several feet of snow most of the winter), the birdfeeder is restored!
Happy birds! We are ready for spring.
