I'm a collector of Happy Hours. I have a spreadsheet that lists the Happy Hour specials of northern Michigan and nestled inside was one I had been wanting to try, a 5 tacos for $5 at Dreloco Tacos on Front Street. $5 for non-fast-food tacos? I definitely needed some of those, and as I had never been to Dreloco before, another good reason for a visit.
The taco special doesn't involve any of the specialty tacos, just ground beef or chicken, which seemed reasonable.

Those are some tasty-looking tacos, verdad? I went with the ground beef with lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. There was no salsa, but what Dreloco Tacos has is a hot sauce bar with about twenty different hot sauces to try. And the taco holders kept the tacos from collapsing into a taco-y mess while they are waiting to be devoured.

Assuming it's a sunny day, and that is a big assumption during a Michigan winter, the dining area can be very bright and warm. You can watch the Front Street traffic whip by.
I was a fan of Dreloco Taco and the menu looked good all around. The specialty tacos looked excellent, but the burritos are next on my list. My first visit will not be my last.
