I enjoy looking at Google Maps. I suppose it's because it allows me to explore without leaving the house, giving me a satellite view of the world. I've discovered many places I haven't visited before this way.
As I was zooming around the area where I live, I noticed a new Biggby is taking over the building that was once a bank next to Tom's West Bay:
Though not a coffee drinker, I'm happy to see a new business is coming to that intersection. I'm particularly pleased that it is Biggby. Being from the Lansing area and remembering when it was called Beaner's, I've long been familiar with the business, including the daily walks with my then-boss now wife so she could get her morning beverage.
With the closing of the Rite Aid and the laundromat, there has been may too much departure. They have a Facebook page. It currently says "Biggby West Bashore", a temporary typo I'm sure.
