Pistoleros is coming!
That, my friends, is the whole story. But that is way too short, so I shall expound.
You are looking at the sad shell of Agave on Garfield. It was a happy place, full of nachos and margaritas, and then it was a sad place, with no margaritas or nachos, and the doors were locked. And thus, it was for years.
Lo, a new, poorly affixed sign tells a new tale, one of Pistoleros Mexican Grill. Pistoleros is Spanish for "gunmen" - the pistol in the image kind of gave it away. I have no more information than that. The only reference to Pistoleros restaurants is in faraway places like Texas and Nebraska. Also from the sign, it is "coming soon", meaning, I hope, in 2026. Perhaps there is a balance of Mexican restaurant mojo. Mama Lu's leaves later this year (causing much sadness), but a new restaurant comes, keeping the count the same. Do not disappoint us, gunmen.
