Elena is getting better at swimming with her floaty backpack, and enjoying it more. She still doesn't want to shower in the men's locker room, so I hope that holds true when she gets into high school.
On Saturday night, we went to a surprise birthday party for my brother-in-law Richard, who turned 40 last week. Everyone I know is getting old, except me, of course. It was at Old Chicago, which is a good place to have it. For $11, you get all the pizza and pop you can eat. That's a good deal, and I had enough leftover for lunch today.
I've started a food blog called Michigan Foodies. What, another blog? Well, as you can probably tell, that one is just about food, and since I write about food already, it shouldn't be too much more time spent writing. But I have been known to have opinions about things, so that is one more place to express them.
If you're keeping track, I have this blog (family-type stuff and a generic catch-all for things I like to talk about), the Clinton County Republican Party, The Traveling Michigander, and Michigan Foodies. Rumors that I'm starting a Teletubby blog are unfounded.
