Appearance
This burly dark haired man stands just over six feet in height. His beard, which falls halfway to his chest, is wrapped in five braids of small red strips. He is covered in scale mail armor, dyed light red, made of various chitinous creatures, including thri-kreen. A buckler shield is firmly strapped to his left forearm, and an obsidian great sword streaked with red and white veins is angled across his back.

History
Briareus is a veteran of Andropinis's palace guard, driven out after House Wavir seized control of the palace, along with most of the city. Still bitter from lost of status over a decade ago, the warrior acts as a bodyguard or caravan guard to whoever pays him the most. A vain man, Briareus colors his graying hair and beard with Andoos paste so they remain the deep black that they were when he was younger.

The warrior is a gruff person, having little to say to anyone who does not live by the sword. For those who consider war a way of life, he will converse about past battles and close calls over ales in one of Balic's many pubs. He is always searching for new contracts, though he has made a comfortable living for himself thus far.

Combat
Briareus is an aggressive combatant, constantly on the attack, using his great sword with tremendous skill. Only retreating when faced with overwhelming odds, opponents can expect no mercy from him, and he expects none. He says little in combat, letting his sword deliver his message.
