House Themecklis

(pronounced THEM-eck-lis)

Themecklis is a secretive, isolated noble house with lands twenty miles northeast of Balic, on the coast of the Estuary of the Forked Tongue. Little is know about the family itself. They rarely spent time in Balic during Andropinis' reign, and their presence in the city is completely non-existent now. Their fortune comes mainly from the harvest of caffrey, a tall, weed like plant that grows almost exclusively on their stretch of land.

The families closely guarded secret is that Morgan, the patriarch, is a powerful defiler (CE hm Wiz13) who houses other defilers on the family estate. Morgan is also the leader of the Order of Kalo, an ancient order that worships it's legendary founder Kalo, who is now an arch-lich. They pay homage to him in a basement chamber, at a pool of black dust, the physical remains of their leader. There he leads them to unknown ends, but as of late they are gathering unusual spell components from the tablelands and beyond.
