Alagoti's EmporiumAlagoti (hef Rog6 N) runs this gambling house on the edge of the Elven Market. Though not yet well known among the general populace of the city, it is gaining fame. Under Andropinis, gambling halls were not allowed, and Alagati's services had to be concealed from the ever prying eyes of the kings templars. Under House Rees, she is free to ply her trades - as long as they share in the profits. The entrance to the Emporium is innocent enough. It appears as a simple trader counter where customers can step inside to shield themselves from the sun under the red canopy. A door behind the counter leads inside the Emporium proper. Before the fall of the sorcerer king, the front room contained articles of glass and weavings to sell, in order to show any suspicious templar that Alagati did indeed run a legitimate business. The back wall has since been removed to provide more space for the real reason of the Emporium's existence. The gambling room is dark, cramped, and a layer of tabac smoke covers the ceiling. Tables for dice, cards, and bone throwing are available for the gambling pleasure for those who pay the 3cp cover charge, which includes complimentory ale. In case patrons object to her entrance fee, or if there are any hard feelings over losses, Alagoti has a pair of female mul ex-gladiators, Kerena and Braghi, as bouncers. Her Emporium is quite popular and profitable and House Rees is more than happy to allow her to continue and prosper. The upper floor of the Emporium is another Balic institution, Alagoti's brothel. The brothel was once only Alagoti and an attractive human girl, but over the years has grown to ten women of varying races. They have various ladies for about any tastes - but no Thri'kreen. |
