Brews of Balic

Brews of Balic. Prices are per mug.p>

Rolt Stout. This strong beer has a dark brown color and a slightly bitter taste. Brewed by the dwarven nobles of House Rolt, it's higher than average price causes it mainly to be drunk by members of the nobility and and merchants, especially House Rees. 1 cp.

Forked Tongue Bitter. This deep yellow bitter tastes slightly gritty. Produced in one of the surrounding merchant camps and based from a cactus common in the region southeast of the Estuary of the Forked Tongue, it is mixed with a hearty strain of wheat to produce it's interesting flavor. 5 chits.

Elven Ale. Eleven ale is very pale in color and contains a relatively low amount of alcohol content. It is called Elven Ale because it's brewers, orginally templars, said it was as empty of alcohol as an elf's head is empty of common sense. Brewed by Negaloss Orvolos from a brewery in northwestern Balic, Negaloss employees one assistant to create Elven Ale in the two large ceramic vats in his one story run down building. 2 chits.

Kings Wheat Ale. A golden brown liquid, Kings Wheat Ale is a premier drink made with fine wheats from Kings Field. It has a rich taste and a favorite of House Wavir merchants, possibly because it is Wavir personnel that brews it. The King Brewery is based near the docks. The brewing of Kings Wheat ale takes longer than many of it's competing ales, but most agree that the extra time is worth it. 1 cp.

Silver Brew. The Silver Brewery, owned by the nobles of House Stenethes, produce the unusual beer known as Silver Brew. It is, like is suggests, silvery in color and seems to sparkle subtle in light. It has a very smooth, crisp taste and it seems to keep a cooler temperature than other beers. The Silver Brewery is on the grounds of their estate west of Balic, shipping it into the city under heavy guard. The process of creating their beer is a closely guarded secret, and only a few of the family members - and no one outside of the bloodline - know the recipe. 2 cp.
