Objective journalism. I heard that phrase, but it hasn't had meaning in a long time. Critics often rant about how Fox News is a pro-Republican mouthpiece. However, CNN, whose rating have plummeted far below the ratings for Fox, has allowed two of it's commentators, the Ragin' Cajun James Carville and The Forehead, Paul Begala, to sign on as Kerry advisors, yet still keep their CNN jobs. I don't see any Fox analysts signing on to the Bush campaign. So when Carville and Begala attack guests on their show because they are pro-Bush, remember that the interviewers are Kerry campaign hacks. Oh, what am I saying - nobody watches CNN anymore.

Added some brand spanking new New Orleans pictures.

Italy pictures, Italy pictures, Italy pictures!

I heard John Kerry mention that the 1000th soldier killed in Iraq died in the war on terror. Well, that must be news to most Democrats, because they do their best to seperate the war in Iraq with the war on terror in the eyes of the American voters. But I understand - when you lie constantly and change positions on a weekly (and sometimes daily) basis, it is probably hard to keep these things straight.

September 8
Back from Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge walk, which was fun. The walk was five miles, and it was a little windy, but it was a great day for it. The weekend before, we rode around the island, got a good look at the Grand Hotel, saw Fort Mackinac, and did some shopping. And I learned that no matter how it is spelled (Mackinaw or Mackinac), the -aw ending is always pronounced. And I also learned that Mackinaw City, the only place with the -aw ending, changed the spelling so that postal workers would not get it confused with the island.

Briefly in politics - John Kerry switched his views on the war in Iraq. Again. Now he says he would have done everything differently than President Bush. A few weeks ago he said that he would have sent troops even knowing what he knows now about WMD's. And Kerry also said that he would bring the troops home within four years, and in July, he said he would bring them home in six months, and in the primaries, he said he would bring them home immediately. Yeah, he's a great, sturdy candidate. This guy makes Howard Dean look rational.

I am going to toot my own horn, something I rarely do... I passed my fifth Microsoft developer certification today, and I have one more to go. Hopefully, I will get to that one by November. And Andrea and I concluded our golf lessons last night. The lessons really helped, I think, and I am going to try them out when I play tonight.

Speaking of last night, I watched Zell Miller, my favorite Democrat (yes, there are some I think - Zell and Joe Lieberman). He was incredible. I like Zell because he was what Democrats used to be before the anti-American leftists took control of the party. Guys like Zell and the President realize that peace isn't negotiated, it is won.

I am working on putting new New Orleans pictures on my site. I will post them tomorrow, after I get ahold of the Frommer's book we took with us last February, so that I can tell you what the buildings actually are. I was inspired by an entry in my guestbook from a soldier in Kuwait.

The golf lessons are going well. Andrea is improving, and my short game has seen some real improvement. I'll get to test these new skills tomorrow when I golf in the final round of my league.

August 30
In 1990, when the first Gulf War took place, and there was a vast coalition of countries allied with the USA, why did John Kerry vote against the war? Isn't this the kind of coalition he talks about building to go after countries like Iraq today?

Added some new and exciting Italy pictures.

August 27
I think I am going to become an Alice Cooper fan. Check out this article. Here are two of my favorite quotes from it:

"If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal."

"Besides, when I read the list of people who are supporting Kerry, if I wasn't already a Bush supporter, I would have immediately switched. Linda Ronstadt? Don Henley? Geez, that's a good reason right there to vote for Bush."

That's some good stuff right there.

August 26
Italy pictures. I also added a new link to my cousin Jane's site, JJs Feline Friends.

Did you know that the first Purple Heart received by John Kerry was a fragment from his own grenade in a non-combat situation, and that the skin was barely penetrated - a few millimeters? It was covered by a band-aid and when he submitted his request the first time, the ranking officer sent him packing because it wasn't worthy of a Purple Heart. It was only after Kerry submitted paperwork to another officer not familiar with the incident and exaggerated the combat claim that he got the award.

August 25
Andrea and I saw The Village last night, and it was good. It did have the unexpectd twists that you would expect from the Shamalayan... Shaymals... that dude's movies.

There was an article on Town Hall that poses this question: Would John Kerry have won the Cold War? And the answer is no - if it were up to him (and people like Ted Kennedy and Jimmy Carter) the status quo would have been maintained. Kerry voted against the strengthening of the US military after the debacle of a Carter presidency (who has since because the preeminent anti-American spokeman. A member of the Nobel prize board admitted that he was given the award because he was anti-Bush. Aren't these things usually given on some sort of merit? But then, Yasser Arafat got one too, so I suppose not.) Without the ability to negotiate from a position of strength and without the threat of SDI, our strongest enemy would not have toppled. (Kerry voted against funding SDI, as well as against funding for various fighter and missle systems.) See, I just critized John Kerry without mentioning Vietnam. He was there, wasn't he? Don't know if he's mentioned that or not.

August 23
We have returned from camping. It was a good weekend, and the weather was nice, though the first night was a little cold. But the campfire did it's job. We had hot dogs and smores over the fire and marveled that, even though the campground was full of barking dogs, loud music, and screaming kids, it was still quieter than home.

So what kinds of tactics are being used by John Kerry to refute the Swift Boat Vets? Let's see - threatening to sue radio stations that play the ad, trying to convince the publisher to stop publications, wanting bookstores to place the book in the fiction section. And have you noticed how many different versions of Kerry's Vietnam story he has? His boat was under fire when Rassmann fell out. No, it hit a mine. Kerry dove in to save him. Wait a sec, he pulled him out. He was in Cambodia for Christmas. No, on second thought, he was five miles away. Yep, that's a great candidate for president. Again, why is Vietname such an issue? Because Kerry made it an issue. This man makes Clinton (the most corrupt president ever) look honest.

Speaking of honesty, here is an article about voters being registered in two different states. The article mentioned over 40,000 voters registered in both New York and Florida. Love that voter fraud. Where is Bill Daly? We need more dead people to vote, because not enough dead people voted for Gore in the last election.

And more Italy pictures.

August 20
I went to Barnes & Noble last night to pick up Unfit for Command, the book by the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth refuting Kerry's service record in Vietnam (the only record he is running on.) They were sold out. The lady at the information desk said they had sold out the first day and the publisher was doing another printing. On the other hand, there were tons of Bill Clinton books hanging around, but I already know about Monica, so the Clinton presidency is pretty much covered.

Oil prices are nearing $50 a barrel. Sure hope that President Bush / Saudi connection starts to take affect so we can get those gas prices down. Sure hope that Iraqi war, which was just fought for oil, starts to make a difference in the price of gas. Sure hope the Democrats will keep preventing drilling in Alaska to keep us dependent on foreign oil.

I interrupt this political stuff to let you know I have more Italy pictures. Now, on with the political commentary.

Okay, here is a quote from John Kerry on August 1st, as quoted in an article by William Krisol: I will have significant, enormous reduction in the level of troops. . . . I think we can significantly change the deployment of troops, not just there [Iraq] but elsewhere in the world. In the Korean peninsula perhaps, in Europe perhaps. There are great possibilities open to us. But this administration has very little imagination.

Two days ago, Kerry was railing against President Bush because he is bringing troops home. So basically, the President sees eye to eye with Kerry and thought that bringing the troops home was a good idea, and when he actually does something helpful instead of just endlessly discussing it, he gets criticized. Folks, we have another Kerry flip-flop.

August 19
Today's comment is on the ACLU. I recently heard that that organization is opposed to the State of Ohio holding a gospel concert to benefit and promote adoption, stating that such a concert is a violation of church and state. Aren't they being a bit fanatical here? If a gospel concert is going to benefit children, why would any organization (besides Al Qaeda, perhaps) be bothered? If a gansta rap concert were held that promoted abuse of women and drug use, I'm sure the ACLU would not have a problem, even though the views promoted in such music are harmful to children.

Okay, I have two comments. The other is about a statement by John Kerry, future presidential runner-up, saying that we should not pull our troops out of countries unilaterally. Unilaterally? They're our troops! Why do we need permission to pull our troops out of countries, but especially countries that have been occupied for 60 years, like Germany and Japan? Their purpose for being their is no longer valid. We won the Cold War, it's time to move them to different theaters of war or bring them home. And since when has Kerry been so opposed to bringing troops home? He is the one claiming that he would start bringing troops home from Iraq as early as six months after the election, and those troops are actually involved in actual combat. I still occasionally here the word quagmire to describe Iraq. Well, since we have been in Germany since the 1940's, couldn't we call that a quagmire? Isn't it time to leave?

Since you have been good and gotten this far through my brilliant commentary, here are some Chicago pictures. This concludes the pictures from our trip to Chicago earlier this year. Wow - I actually finished!

August 18
Italy pictures!

Check out this quote from Michael Moore: “They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet ... in thrall to conniving, thieving, smug pricks,” he replied. “We Americans suffer from an enforced ignorance. We don’t know about anything that’s happening outside our country. Our stupidity is embarrassing.” (Quote taken from MSNBC.) I wonder if he is referring to his target audience for Fahrenheit 9/11?

August 17
Is there a therapist in the house? John Kerry, on his website, claimed to be the vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, when in fact it was Bob Kerrey who held that role. Is it any wonder why some of us question his Vietnam record, the record he keep touting as the major reason for him to be president? But John Kerry did serve on the intelligence committee, and here is the good news about his stint there - he only had a 22% attendance record, so he could not do as much damage to the nation, but he did try - the Kerry amendment to the budget involved $1 billion cuts in 1994 and $5 billion in cuts over the next five years for intelligence spending. Yep, he's serious about national security.

Back from the weekend excursion to the north. First off, I'm just about over the food poisoning (or whatever it was) that I got up at Pearl's in Elk Rapids. The buttermilk pie was good, the long night spent in the bathroom afterwards, not so good.

But back on the good - I bested by golf record, set just two days earlier, but hitting a 49 up at Crystal Mountain. I was very happy. And I hit a great shot on a par 3 (ended up getting par) that rolled just about over the cup. Pretty cool.

Anywho, here are some Italy pictures.

August 13
Yesterday, I golfed the best game of my life. I hit a 51, and my previous best was a 61. If I could have putted anywhere close to the hole, I would have broke 50. Let's see if my good fortune can continue for the upcoming golf game at Crystal Mountain.

On a different note, here is an article regarding the Tate Modern in London purchasing excrement as an exhibit. The most amusing parts are the "artists" comments about people actually buying his feces.

Kerry (and he's not the only one) has gone on about how blacks were disenfranchised during the elections in 2000. There have even been claims that water guns and dogs were used. This is a blatant lie, and the civil rights commissioner has proven that it is a lie. Why would Kerry say such a thing? Perhaps because he is an extremely divisive candidate, like his running mate John Edwards, who is famous for his "Two Americas" speech, the typical diatribe about the rich getting richer and the poor getting poored. Class warfare at it's worst.

And finally, what you have really been waiting for some pictures from Italy.

August 10
So now Kerry says that he would have sent troops into Iraq even though there were no WMD's found (which is incorrect - we have found them.) Yet another flip-flop. I wonder what they rabidly anti-war protesting, hate-Bush crowd that makes up the Kerry voters thing. Remember: nobody is voting FOR Kerry, they are just voting against Bush.

I have added some new Italy pictures.

August 9
I keep hearing people who are complaining about the criticism of Kerry's war record, like he should be above criticism. But since the only thing he is running on IS his war record, what else is there? He doesn't talk about the last 20 years in the Senate, where he continously voted for tax hikes and against national defense and intelligence funding. (Wonder why he's not talking about his record, huh?) But as far as taking firm stances, he is firmly for gay marriage. Except when he says how much he doesn't like it.

I have added some new Italy pictures. The last few pictures of Florence, moving on to Pisa.

August 6
Today is the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima with an atomic bomb. This is a happy day. Now you may think I'm a nut for saying that, but it was a great victory, and thousands or tens of thousands of American lives were saved. And I saw some protesters (I call them Cowards for Kerry) holding up signs today. They want us to give up our nukes, and apparently let North Korea and Iran build there. Or should I say, let the UN handle that situation, because the UN is so effective at that kind of thing. "If you keep doing that, we'll pass a resolution - just watch us!" I wish I had been wearing my W hat (George W. Bush). And had a bat.

August 5
Congraluations to my stepdad Skip who was one of the top three vote getters in the Bath Township trustee election, and he will be on the November ballot. If I can get ahold of Bill Daley from Illinois to round up some votes from dead people (his modus operandi), then Skip will not have to do any more campaigning.

I have added some new Italy pictures. Still in Florence, but you're not going anywhere, are you?

And Charlie from work sent me this link: What veterans that served with Kerry really think of him.

August 2
First off, happy birthday mom!

Second off, I have added some new Italy pictures. Still in Florence.

Third off, I like the name that Rush was calling John Kerry - the Frenchurian Candidate. And where was the big bounce he was supposed to get after the Democratic convention? And did you know that the CIA and FBI regularly meet, and have been since 2002? So why is it that we need another layer of bureacracy in the form of another cabinet level position?

July 30
I was reading an article by Mona Charen about Al Sharpton speaking at the Democratic convention, and the issue of race came up. She mentioned that in one poll, 85% of blacks think that the votes of blacks were thrown out in Florida during the 2000 election. The fact that anyone, let alone 85% of a segment of our population believes this lie, is uncomprehensible.

Staying with the article, you were probably introduced to the term disenfranchisement in the last election. It turns out that 15% of the votes cast were by blacks, who make up 13% of the population. This doesn't seem like disenfranchisement to me. And all the accusations about black not being allowed to vote and intimidation and that sort of things - of course, the Civil Rights Commission found not a single occurence. So the claim in completely false. But what does truth have anything to do with it when they are trying to get a Socialist into the White House? Just remember it was Republicans who were more supportive of the Civil Rights Act then the Democrats were. Just check the votes cast.

Now, onto the Italy pictures.

July 29
Okay, the Italy pictures are up.

Tonight is golf night, so I get to participate in the exercise in frustration that some people find fun. All I really want to do is make the ball go straight and up in the air - not too much to ask.

July 28
No Italy pictures today because I need to consult my Florence map to find out what the pictures I am about to post are actually about. Didn't watch the Democratic convention lately. I'd rather watch something meaningful to my life, like Lord of the Rings or something where at the very least the characters are three dimensional, unlike John Kerry.

July 27
I have actually watched some of the Democratic convention. It's funny stuff. But really, how many times are they going to try to "introduce" John Kerry? It seems like every week, there is a push to try and let the voters get to know him. Get to know him? He's been on the campaign trails since at least last fall, maybe sooner! If you don't know what he stands for by now, DON'T VOTE FOR HIM. (Of course, if you do know what he stands for, don't vote for him either - he's a wishy washy lying piece of crap.)

In the travel news, Andrea and I are heading to Washington DC at the end of September. Our roundtrip tickets (for both of us) came to about $100. Yes, $100. How could we not go? And they are direct flights between Washington and Lansing on Independence Air.

Guess what: Italy pictures! They are taken at the infamous Tuscan dinner, a fun time being had by all, except that guy who threw up afterwards. Lightweight.

July 23
I played my best round of golf ever yesterday - a 62. Which, by the way, is still pretty awful, but it was still my best. And to celebrate, here are some Italy pictures! By the way, I fixed that problem I was having, so you can just click the links at the bottom of the page like normal.

July 22
You know the whole Sandi Berger situation, Clinton's National Security Advisor. Well, according to National Archive employees, he actually stuffed some of the papers into his socks. Because we all do that after reviewing documents. The best the Democrats can come up with is that they are questioning the timing of the probe. (The FBI was involved in January, I believe, so that gives them plenty of time to get the facts straight - we know how the Dem's love to jump on the intelligence services if something is wrong.) But back to the timing - why does that matter? That fact is, he did something wrong, so what does it really matter when the investigation became public.

MoreItaly pictures, these from Capri. I have passed the 100 picture mark for Italy, and not even halfway through the trip yet, with Florence and Venice yet to come. There is a small problem that if you click on the links at the bottom of the pictures pages, they don't work yet (I have to adjust some of my code.) So if you want to see all the pages, for now, just replace italy101.asp with italy102.asp etc (the last file right now is italy105.asp.)

July 21
How the time flies. On Friday, the golf outting went well, as the team I was on won, and one of the guys got a hole in one. I really didn't help the team much. Did a little biking this weekend. Andrea came home from her vacation on Lake Michigan. And now, we're working as usual.

I saw that Independence Air has started flying from Lansing to Washington DC. If you book by Friday, you will only pay $29 each way! Pretty good deal! So go to their website.

MoreItaly pictures, these from Capri.

July 15
Today is my golf league, and I am ready to shoot in the low 60's, which is an awful score, but it's all I can do. And tomorrow, I am taking the day off work to participate in a golf scramble in Weberville. So no updates tomorrow. But today, I have added some Italy pictures, these from Capri.

July 14
Two items of a political nature. First, Rush had a good slogan for an AIDS policy: Zip up your fly and you won't die. I think that is pretty catchy, and best of all, it's free! Second, the amendment to ban gay marriage did not get the 2/3 majority it needed to pass. However, such an idea is held by the majority of Americans, so doesn't that mean that those for gay marriage are in the minority? But of course, majority rule does not apply when you have vicious and dishonest political groups trying to push their values on others.

I'm taking a break from Italy pictures. Instead, I have posted a few Chicago pictures, from our trip last spring.

July 13
Not much happening - still warm and humid. But not so much that I couldn't add some Italy pictures.

July 12
Okay, I'm done with the dumb ass web editing system that my web hoster has. I must have copied over my default page while trying to update it, so I'm back to the old (better) system.

Andrea is on vacation, so I am home alone. Well, just me and my two other girlfriends. But she is enjoying Lake Michigan and I am enjoying the central air. On Sunday, I took my bike to Stockbridge to ride on the Lakelands Trail. (Biked about 40 miles last weekend.) And did some jogging. And went to the driving range, where I will probably be tonight preparing for my scramble on Friday.

Added more Italy pictures.

Cut out February 20th, 2004

February 10
I received another scam / spam from some dude in Africa. Of course, I have posted it.

So some PAC that Nancy Pelosi (one of the scariest women you will ever see, though she is a good example of the evils of too many facelifts) was invloved with was caught distributing about $100,000 in illegal campaign contributions to Democrats. Of course, she gave it back - after she got caught. But she couldn't help it - the money made her do it.

Febraury 6
Happy birthday Pam. I would have got you something, but I spent all my money on a Snoop Dogg dictionary that I have had my eye on for a while. Fishizzle dizzle.

This weekend is the Grammy's, and I have no intention of ever watching that waste of time again. I see plenty of degenerates by watching the Democrat presidential candidates, and if I wanted to hear anti-American sentiment, I would watch NBC Nightly News.

Joy! I have added new Mexico pictures.

February 4
Al Sharpton, who finished 3rd in the South Carolina primary, stated that he was one of the top tier candidates. Well, perhaps among felons and people who vote on the basis on one's ability to rhyme words, but losing one race by a lower margin than the rest of the loser isn't exactly a reason for a victory party.

Our New Orlean's trip is coming up soon - looking forward to it. Mexico was so long ago, and I don't like to go so long between vacations.

February 2
First, the good. The Superbowl was a great game, worthy of the last game of the year. It was an exciting game until the very end. The bad - the pornographic halftime show. Just what we all wanted to see in the middle of a football game - that little punk bitch Justin Timberlake exposing the sister of a child molester. Yes, Hollywood and the music industry are really in touch with what the football crowd wants to see.

John Kerry has stated that we are proceeding with the war on terror all wrong. He says that we should do this like a legal proceeding instead of a military matter. So there is one more reason not to vote for him - he wants to get the lawyers involved.

January 30
My website has been having issues lately. For whatever reason, trying to access www.wunderhund.com doesn't work, but if you try wunderhund.com, it works. I have sent an e-mail to my hosting provider, so hopefully it will be resolved soon.

I have added some new Mexico pictures.

So we have a new virus moving around the Internet. I have received at least fifteen e-mails with the virus in it, six of which I have gotten this morning. Why is it so hard - if you get a strange attachment from someone, don't open it!

January 28
Lots and lots of snow. It took me about 45 minutes to get home, a drive that normally takes 15 minutes.

I listened to the state of the state address last night, and I liked what I heard. Usually when I hear Democrats speak, they spout out lies and socialist propaganda, but Granholm makes sense. She is doing a good job in rough times.

January 26
Had a good time last weekend. Andrea and I went to her mom's place near Crystal Mountain and did some skiing. I actually think it was warmer there than it is in my office right now. But we spent around six hours skiing, starting on the easy trails and most of the afternoon on the intermediate trails. And at her mom's place, we had some good food and some very strong margarita's.

Reading the news, Dean is getting stronger in New Hampshire. I'm glad to see this. I think the best thing for the country would be for Dean to get the Democratic nomination. And it would be entertaining because he would yell and scream a lot and say very intelligent, insightful things like the standard of living in Iraq has gone down since Saddam was taken down. Well, maybe for Saddam's buddies, but I think everyone else is doing okay.

January 20
Busy weekend. Okay, not really. I'll go backwards. On Monday, Andrea and I went to see Big Fish, a very good movie. As Monday was MLK day, I celebrated diversity by seeing a movie about white people while getting my seat kicked by a black kid and for dinner, I had Chinese food. The reverend's dream is alive and well in my heart.

Sunday was all about the NFL playoffs, and New England and Carolina will be in the Super Bowl, which is two weeks away.

I received another Nigerian scam spam today. Enjoy.

So the first of the cauci was on Monday, and the results were rather surprising. I had hoped Dean would win because he is the most unelectible candidate, but instead, it turned out to be Kerry. I guess I will have to start putting Howard Dean signs in peoples yards to try and get the rabidly anti-American sentiment higher so that Bush can have an easier victory in November. But there are still many cauci ahead, and the winning in Iowa has nothing to do with the end results.

I was listening to Bob & Tom this morning and the news chick hinted that the State of the Union address (which is tonight at 9:00) was timed to be right after the Iowa caucus. No, moron, it is always at this time of year. They really need a smarter person reading the news.

January 15
I have to share this opening line an Ann Coulter column: DEMOCRATS are so delirious about finding a general who is a pacifist scaredy-cat that no one seems to have bothered to investigate whether Wesley Clark is sane.

Added a few holiday pictures.

January 12
What a weekend of football. There were a couple of overtime games, but only half the teams I expected to win actually won. But I didn't have money on them, so it's fine. And on Saturday night, Andrea and I went to the MSU hockey game, which they lost.

The latest baseless attack on President Bush is from Paul O'Neal, ex-Secretary of the Treasury, who is gone because he thought like a Democrat and didn't believe the tax cut would help the economy. Now he is claiming that the White House had a war plan on Iraq before 9/11. Well, duh. It is national policy that has existed since the Clinton years. We probably have a plan to invade Mexico if it came to that - it doesn't mean we had any intention of doing it.

And I have added a few pictures of the Stoecker Christmas extravaganza.

Cut out January 28th, 2004

January 9
Once again the weekend is here. Happy happy, joy joy, as Ren and Stimpy would say. And I added some Mexico pictures for your viewing pleasure.

January 8
Oh, not much going on today, just working away. I should have some more Mexico pictures up tomorrow, same time, same channel. We watched Celebrity Mole: Yucatan last night and got to see scenes from Tulum and Playa del Carmen, and we spent some time in both of those places.

January 7
As someone living in Michigan, I am accustomed to cold weather. But I say now - if you are coming to Michigan from a warmer climate, turn around and go home. It's COLD right now. Last night at Andrea's volleyball game, there was a guy visiting from Brazil, where it is summer. I had to feel bad for the guy - apparently, the typical low where he is from in Brazil is 50.

I read an article by Tony blankley regarding foreigners contributing to American presidential campaigns. Specifically, it mentions a group called Canada for Clark which solicited donations for Move On, the ultra-liberal group that wants to create a socialist society here in the US. I went to the CfC website, and they had a blurb regarding this situation, saying that Move On no longer would take contributions from foreigners. (I assume this is because they got caught.) But the site also claimed not to be affiliated with the Wesley Clark campaign. I went to the Clark website, which is filled with lies and delusions, and there is a link to the CfC site. To me, this seems like an implicit endorsement of this web site, which had a link (it still might - I stopped looking when it claimed it no longer had the link) to Move On, where foreigners could (and perhaps still can) contribute money. Brings back memories of Clinton trying to solicit donations from the Chinese government and Gore in the Buddhist temple, also trying to raise funds.

But enough of that. Celebrity Mole starts tonight. I normally wouldn't watch celebrities walking around doing nothing, but this time, it is in the Yucatan, where Andrea and I were vacationing a few weeks ago, so I want to see if I recognize any of the locations.

January 6
Back to work again. We here at the State don't have another holiday until January 19th. (I plan on celebrating MLK day by doing nothing.)

I heard that Joe Lieberman made a statement to the effect of limiting profits of drug companies to 2% a year. I like Lieberman - of all the Democratic candidates, he would be least harmful to us. But this statement is just idiotic. Limiting profits is a step in the socialististic direction. But then, so was giving old people free medication. I shouldn't say free - you and I have to pay for them. Anyway, the pursuit of profit is what gives us so much inovation and progress. And the limits on profits is one of the reasons why the Soviet Union failed. Why put in the extra effort if you do not get rewarded or recognized for it?

I have added Mexico pictures, a few from Barcelo Maya and some from Cancun.

December 30
This is my last day until next Monday - I have another five day weekend. I plan to do lots of walking in the woods. And of course, I can spend lots of time with my other girlfriend when Andrea goes north. Or maybe I'll just watch lots of football. Yeah, I like that plan better. I am also happy because soon, all the day calendars will be between fifty and seventy-five percent off, and I'm a big fan of day calendars. It's good to come into work and rip off a page, knowing that, no matter how bad a day it is, I have managed to get something accomplished.

A New Hampshire court ruled a parental notification law regarding abortion to be unconstitutional. One more example of how the government thinks it knows best how to raise your child. Of course, if your child needs an aspirin while at school, the government needs your approval. I would like to know when judges stopped being stewards of the law and makers of it, because it seems to happen on a weekly basis now.

Oh, and one more thing. I hate to toot my own horn, but... no, actually, I don't mind doing that. Anyway, I passed my 2nd certification test. So, once more to go and then I get to take more tests.

Cut out January 6th, 2004

December 29
I am back at work for two days, until I am off work for another five days. It's a rough time of year. Tonight is the Alamo Bowl, which I believe is on ESPN. So we'll see if the Spartans can beat Nebraska.

So what have I been doing with all this time off? Going for a few walks in the snow - not many people go out this time of year. This week, I intend on going to Pinckney and at least one other part, to be determined. I have been watching the last week of the NFL - a sad time, so I am getting all the games in I possibly can. I have also been going to Christmas gatherings. I am down to one left, and that is tomorrow night, and then the Christmas season is over.

I have Mexico pictures.

December 23
Christmas gatherings galore. The first one on Sunday involved an interesting game involving dollar store gifts. I ended up with chip clips and a gift that I came with, but it beat the rubber gloves and spatula's I was almost stuck with. The second part of the day involved lots of time consuming unwrapping of gifts and me getting (among other things) a Krispy Kreme sweatshirt and lots of food. And I got home in time to watch most of the 49ers game, which they won in OT.

Three things. One: I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I will only be working two days out of the next two weeks because of the State furlough days. Yeah, it sounds good, but I have to work extra to make up the time so it really isn't THAT good a deal. In any case, I will not be updating my web site until next week.

Two: You remember just after President Bush took over for the previous President, the Commander in Heat? Bush repealed the restrictions on arsenic in drinking water that Clinton had forced on industry in his last few days in office, leading everyone to wonder why the drinking water had been good enough the previous eight years, but suddently became a crisis in his last week as the most corrupt President in history (and that is saying something.)

I read the following on junkscience.com, which I thought was interesting: -- "Overall, no clear association was identified between bladder cancer risk and the exposures found in our study," reported the researchers. There was no association between arsenic in drinking water and bladder cancer even among study subjects with 40 years of exposure to the relatively high levels of arsenic.-- So basically, you can drink water without fear that the evil Republicans are trying to get you.

Three: Mexico pictures! There is a list of pictures I have added on the default page.

December 18
They are finally here, my Mexico pictures! View them at here. You will be jealous because it is a beautiful place, but I can't help that. You will just have to fly down there and see for yourselves.

Michael Jackson has been cavorting with the Nation of Islam. So this means he is both a child molester AND a racist. I wonder if we should now call him Michael Jackson X, like Malcolm X. Though is it really being racist for a white man, formerly a black man, to join a black group that is anti-white?

December 17
I managed to spend some time getting my Mexico site ready, but don't tell Andrea. She is a slave driver. But the tough work is done, and I will have some pictures up tomorrow.

December 16
Well, we're back from Mexico and we had a great time. I don't know what you were doing last week, but we were laying on a beach, or snorkeling, or exploring Mayan ruins. Just you're typical week in Mexico. Anyway, I will be posting pictures as soon as I work up a template. I have lots of pictures to show you, too.

Saddam is caught! This is good news for America, which means it is bad news for the Democrats. First, the economy is turning around, which takes away one issue from them. And now, we have made a major advance in Iraq, with Saddam's arrest already leading to the arrest of other terrorists. Poor angry little Howard Dean, shouting about how it doesn't make a difference when in the last few weeks, he was complaining that we had not found him. The future loser of the 2004 election really should get a clue.

December 5
The time of our departure draws close. I spent some time packing last night. The selection of clothes in my suitcase is not exactly stunning: t-shirts and shorts. But we'll be somewhere sunny and warm. So everyone, have a good time at home. We will try to have a good time knowing everyone is at home with the cold weather and snow. It will be tough, though.

For a going away present, here are some pictures from our summer (remember that season) trip to the Leelenau Peninsula.

And on the political side, a quote from Howard Dean on whether or not he would break up the FOX network: "On ideological grounds, absolutely yes, but ... I don't want to answer whether I would break up Fox or not. ... What I'm going to do is appoint people to the FCC that believe democracy depends on getting information from all portions of the political spectrum, not just one."

Apparently, Crazy Howie has a really bad cable package and his mail is not reaching him. I thought that ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, PBS, Time, Newsweek, New York Times, Washington Post, and the L.A. Times (among many liberal outlets) would be a "balanced" view. In Crazy Howie's world, being pro-American and not blatantly anti-Bush means not being fair and balanced.

December 2
Not too much longer until Mexico. Should be a fun and relaxing trip. If something goes wrong, I will blame Andrea, because I planned the trip perfectly - ie I called the travel agent.

Thanksgiving was good. For once, I brought the person that almost no one knew. There was lots of food as well as card playing.

I thought it was pretty cool that President Bush flew to Baghdad to visit the troops. If I were a soldier, I would be happy to see my leader fly into a dangerous situation to show his support. Of course, we have the usual critics from the treason and cowardice brigade, also known as Howard Dean and the Other Eight Losers. They should start a country band. It must be offensive to them to see strong leadership in the White House, but they are doing everything in their power (lie) to change that.

Tada! Added new Cedar Point Halloweekend pictures.

November 25
So now we have a prescription drug bill. I'm so glad that I get to pay for drugs for people that I don't know and who are in the richest group of people in are society. Really, why stop there? Aren't there 40- something people in need of drugs too? Why exclude them? And why not raise the minimum wage to $100 an hour so no one is poor. Sounds great.

Tonight MSU plays basketball. Hopefully, they win. Otherwise... well, they don't. But either way, I've still uploaded pictures from Six Flags Worlds of Adventure.

November 21
Work is picking up again. Lots to do. But not today, because tonight we are going to the Silver Bells thing downtown. I am not going to stay too late because I don't want to be stuck in traffic. And there may be a football game on. No pictures, but I added a few links (at the top of the page) to my politics page - pro war quotes by Democrats and a bit of humor.

November 14
I believe hunting season starts this week, meaning I will have to stick to county parks as opposed to state parks - I don't want to get myself shot. And I suppose I will stop dressing like a deer when I go out on my walks.

Wesley Clark said he is accepting taxpayer money (and the limits that go along with it.) ...One more reason not to mark that box on your tax returns to donate money to the matching funds for politicians (i.e. welfare for politicians and, in this case, one that will not even get his parties nomination for the official loser of the next election.)

And (drum roll) I added pictures of our July trip to the Leelenau Peninsula. And, as an added bonus, I got a letter from some guy in Nigeria - one of those scam letters. You can read it in my humor section.

November 12
Yesterday was Veteran's Day, so the State, and fortunate contractors like myself, got it off. So I started by going to the gym, then going for a walk at Lake Lansing North, lunch from McDonald's, and then Andrea and I saw a love story. What was the name... oh yeah, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. A moving story about a misunderstood man who tries to find his way in the world by using a chainsaw to dismember strangers. And Andrea made scallops and pasta for dinner. I did all the work - after all, I dumped the pasta into the pot. AND, I made dessert - a Bill Knapp's cake. I'm too good to her.

I added a few Chicago pictures. Enjoy.

November 7
My jury duty has concluded, and I am once again back at work for more than two hours a day. Our Latin dance class is almost done - only one more to go. The thing I learned most from the class so far is that I can't move my hips. I'm okay with that though. I will have to settle for being brilliant, handsome, and modest.

Add pictures from the Halloween party and Russ' 40th birthday party. Enjoy.

November 4
Jury Duty! Woohoo! It hasn't been that bad so far. It is actually interesting. I keep waiting for someone to jump up and say "You can't handle the truth!", but everyone seems pretty calm. One of the other jurors has traveled a lot, including Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand, so we had some things to talk about.

November 3
Tomorrow I report for jury duty, which I'm sure will be a lot of fun. I'm a little worried because tonight is Monday Night Football, so I stay up late. But if the selection process is really boring, I may fall asleep waiting.

Last weekend was Russ' 40th birthday party and fun was had by all. There was even a caricaturist, and when I retrieve the pictures from my camera, I will post some of them.

Speaking of pictures, here are some shots from Bath. England, not Michigan.

Well, you know how things are really going well, and it is just too good to be true? Well... Compuware announced that they are cutting everyone's salary. So, my pay is being cut 10%. I get a really warm, fuzzy feeling that the company I work for decides that I am not as good of an employee as I was last week and don't deserve the salary I was making. So I updated my resume. Just for fun, I have posted the e-mail regarding the cut .

Anyway, I have posted some pictures from a few weeks ago when he headed up to see Andrea's mom and stepdad in Thompsonville. Enjoy the shots.

Ocotber 27
This weekend we had a road rally, where we raced around Lansing, solving puzzles to get to the next stop before reaching Reno's for a beer and some food. It was a lot of fun, except for a temper tantrum by one of our team mates, which I usually don't see in an adult. But we had the best decorated potato thanks to one of Baloo's cat toys, and we both won t-shirts.

Added a sunrise over Lansing picture.

October 24
To play a little catch up, as, once again, it's been a busy week... last weekend was a trip up to Thompsonville to see Andrea's mom and stepdad. Did some hiking, saw a movie, and had lots of good food. I took lots of pictures, and someday, I hope to put them on my site.

Added some pictures from the MSU - LA Tech game.

October 15
The sheer business of work... where are the good ole days of me trying to find things to do? Well, last weekend Andrea and I went to Cedar Point. And there are pictures, of course. It was Halloweekends, so the park was decked out in Halloween stuff. And it was completely packed. While we were there, we got our season passes for next year paid for, and a couple of Top Thrill Dragster posters. In a few years, I'm sure I could get $1 for them on Ebay.

The leaves are a changing around here. I went for a walk Sunday morning through Lake Lansing North. I'll post pictures of my epic journey later in the week.

October 10
Wow, a whole week without an update. I really have to keep up on this site, less everyone go away! The comedy show in Ann Arbor was good. Dave Atell was very funny, and the two other guys were good as well. Traffic getting out of the parking ramp was horrible - we spent at least five minutes just sitting in one spot, so we parked the car and went to a bar for a drink. After that, no problem getting out.

Thursday, Andrea and I started our Latin dance classes, which was both fun and a lot of work. But I'm a natural if I do say so myself. And the class is done by the time Survivor is on, which is good. Tonight is a play - Our Town. It's like Friday the 13th, I think. Tomorrow, we head to Cedar Point for maybe the last time of the year - a sad day.

Also, as you probably have noticed, I updated the look of my site just a bit. Got to keep it new.

October 3
Another busy weekend is almost here. In addition to the Saturday festivities, on Sunday, we have the Dino Dash 5k. And of course, football will occupy most of my afternoon and evening. Except to watch Alias, which premiered last week. And I managed to find time to post a picture of our August camping trip.

October 1
Busy week again at work. My phone isn't working, so you can't reach me that way, if you had my phone number at all. This weekend, Andrea and I are tailgating before the homecoming game. And that night, we head into enemy territory - Ann Arbor - to see Dave Attell, a comedian who does a show on Comeday Central.

September 26
Football watching time (aka weekends) is almost upon us once more. The next Cedar Point trip should be within three weeks. I just couldn't let the season go by unless I have at least one more trip. Anyway, here a few more pictures from Ionia.

September 24
I added a new page to my humor site. All work and no plays, you know.

September 23
Work is going swell. Keeping busy and what not. We have a new contractor (damn contractors) coming in on Monday, so that means... well, not much for me. But I added some Wales pictures. I realized how many pictures I have yet to post - it's just overwhelming. I better take some sick leave.

September 22
On Saturday, because Andrea is such a demanding girlfriend, what with wanting to travel and letting me watch all the football I want to, I had to get away, so I went to the Ionia State Park and did some walking. It was cold and peaceful, except for the elephant guns going off  - goose hunters. (Funny you should ask - I DID take pictures .)

Hold everything! Carol Mosely Braun has announced her candidacy for the presidency. And she has the NAG (National Association of (Liberal) Gals) endorsement. So you know what that means, don't you? Yes, she will be the third or fourth candiate to drop out of the race.

The 49ers lost again. This is getting sad - they are like the Lions. But MSU won, so that is a good thing. Unfortunately, I am going to lose my fantasy football game tonight, as a good number of my players really sucked yesterday. Too many 49ers on my roster.

September 19
Work has been so busy I have not had time to update my site. But I will alleviate that issue by posting some pictures from our camping trip.

September 15
So the 9th court of appeals in California, the socialist court that brough you the ruling that the Pledge of Allegiance was un-Constitutional, has now postponed the recall vote. One of the reason cited was a study that claimed minority voters are more likely to be confused by older voting machine. Let's translate - the court says that blacks and Mexican are too stupid to vote. Yes, the liberal mentality shines through again.

Work is still pretty crazy with the project rolling out today. But here is a brief synopsis of my weekend: went to Spartan game, watched lots of football, Sleepy Hollow.

Cut out September 25th, 2003

September 12
Added Six Flags pictures.

September 11
Work has been very busy the last couple of days with the rollout of the application we have been working on for the better part of a year. I haven't even had a chance to put out my Six Flags pictures yet. Oh well, they will be out soon enough.

September 8
Andrea and I had a good time at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure south of Cleveland. It was no Cedar Point, but it has some good coasters. The last time I was there, I was in high school, and the park was called Geauga Lake. We stayed at Hampton Inn about a half hour from the park. The directions were not very good, but we only made one wrong turn.

Football season is here! And what a way to start - the 49ers whooped ass. And even the Lions won big. This really is the 7th sign.

Added some Lansing pictures.

September 4
In California, Taco Bell ran a campaign where if you buy certain products, you basically cast a vote for a certain candidate. Well, Cruz Boost-Your-Taxes didn't like it because he was grouped into the category "Other" - he was mad because he didn't have his own food item so you could vote directly for him. So he says that Taco Bell is basically commiting some type of voter fraud. Gotta love the liberal wackos. I'm waiting for more talking about "voter disenfranchisement", a phrase that I never heard of until Gore lost the last presidential election and wouldn't stop whining about it.

September 3
I read an article this morning about the guy responsible for the blaster virus that has been causing a lot of problems. In it, he says that the government is going to make an example out of him. No, you moronic loser, they are going to punish you for the crime you have committed. And I hope it is the full 10 years, $250,000 fine. In fact, I think they should double it. This is obviously a pre-meditated act - no one "accidently" creates a computer virus. We depend on computers now, especially in my line of work, and people that willfully wish to harm the lives of other people need to pay. But I have a way to help him pay his huge fine. I say we line him up and everyone pays $5 to kick him in the nuts. Well worth it. And after only 50,000 kicks, he would be even!  He's not going to need any male genatalia anyway. Talk about ugly...

And, I added more Traverse City pictures.

September 2
Last weekend was all about tennis. I watched countless hours of the US Open, and I'll be watching more tonight. College football was also on the agenda, and MSU squeaked by Western. Pro football kicks off on Thursday, so I am looking forward to that.

Now, enjoy these Leelenau pictures.

I was listening to Cruz Bustamante and the crap he was spewing, and he actually said he would attempt to regulate the oil industry in order to keep gasoline prices low. He learned nothing from the electricity debacle. A large reason that there were rolling blackouts was because that the state told the power companies that they had to sell electricity for a certain price, even when they were selling it at a loss. He wants to do the same thing to Californians with the oil industry. Here is a little common sense answer instead of the socialist drivel that the California democrats seem to spot - how about increasing supply? For once, don't listen to the environmentalist special interest groups and actually attempt to help the PEOPLE of California instead of some bird.

And on the non-political front, I added some pictures from my high school reunion.

August 26
The Lansing Krispy Kreme is now open so, of course, I got a few dozen. Truly, it's a magical day.

August 25
Andrea and I made it through our camping trip. The only snag was the rain on Sunday when we were taking down the tent. But we did some hiking and beach laying and swimming and went to Manistee to have dinner with her mom and stepdad. Pictures forthcoming.

Tomorrow is the big day - the Krispy Kreme opens in Lansing. Oh, I will be there. And here is a picture of the (now complete) KK.

August 22
We leave for the great camping adventure in a few hours. We have thousands of pounds of gear in her Honda. If we run out of food, I know where the McDonald's is, so we should be okay.

As a going away present, I posted some Grand Rapids pictures.

So have you heard what is going on Nevada. The governor wanted to raise taxes to help fund education (like more money is going to help), but there is a law in Nevada that says he needs 2/3 of the legislature to approve a tax hike. So he went to the Nevada supreme court and they ruled the law unconstitutional. If you ever wanted an example of legislating from the bench, this is it. Another rogue court, just like the Florida supreme court.

And I posted more Cedar Point pictures .

August 20
Preparations are being made for our camping trip this weekend. It should be interesting - I've only slept in a tent once. But I am looking forward to it. I'm not sure what we are doing yet, but we'll figure that out later. And only 6 days until Krispy Kreme opens.

August 19
Between work and the general state of our network connection, I haven't been able to post until now. But I added some Paris pictures from my trip last year, so enjoy.

August 15
Wow, what a crazy day. It took me 45 minutes to get from downtown Lansing to the Applebee's in East Lansing (where I met my mom for dinner), a drive that would normally take 15 minutes tops. Luckily, I knew the back way to avoid most of the major streets, otherwise it would have taken longer. I'm waiting for the Democrats to blame President Bush for it. You know it's coming. I can hear it now - we never had a blackout like this under Clinton.

Before the blackout and the three hour presentation I had to attend, I managed to post a few new park pictures.

August 13
As promised, here are a few Cedar Point pictures . That is really all I have to add at this time.

This weekend was a busy and fun one. On Saturday, we went to Cedar Point. Andrea rode the Millennium Force for the first time, and she liked it. We stayed at the Radisson near Cedar Point, and it was a nice hotel.

On Sunday, the day started off right because we stopped at McDonald's. Then we went to Soak City, which was fun. We had lunch inside Cedar Point and rode a few roller coasters while we were there. Hey, how could you not do that? I'll post a few pictures later in the week.

August 8
18 more days... Krispy Kreme is coming...

Andrea bought a book about Italy. As the trip is only eight months away, she wants to be prepared. I am preparing for the trip to Cedar Point tomorrow - it's in a faraway land called Ohio. I've heard of such a place. It seems like only June that I was there. I plan on getting lots of pictures, oddly enough.

I added some Traverse City pictures to my site.

August 7
19 more days until the Krispy Kreme opens.

Added a plethora of pictures, so get ready to start clicking those links. First, I added a new shot of the Hall of Justice, my place of bid-ness. I added a new section called People, which has shots of me and the people I know. There are only three there, but it will eventually get larger.

August 6
20 more days until the Krispy Kreme opens.

I have added new Australia pictures! I looked at my gallery archive, and the last time I added pictures from Sydney was in June 2002. Of course, I haven't taken any new pictures of Sydney since 2000, so I'm working with a finite number of photos. I have also added a new section - Lansing pictures. Sure, this will not be as thrilling to people that live in the area, but maybe there are some tourists out there that could get some use out of it.

Cut out August 21st, 2003

August 5
21 more days until the Krispy Kreme is open. And I have a new picture of it.

Work has been busy. Andrea has me working on something to do with embezzling money - I didn't ask too many questions. Tonight I play volleyball, so hopefully I will not hurt myself and others (it's not a sport I am good at.)

Monday Night Football has begun! Though the pre-season game last night wasn't exactly thrilling (9-0), it was still beautiful to watch. I went ot Maggy's, a new sports bar on Chandler Road across from Melrose apartments. It was decent, though they did not have the football game, so that took it down a few notches. They did have a decent burger, and they had deep fried pickles. I'm still trying to decide if I liked them or not.

August 4
This weekend started with Andrea and I watching One Hour Photo on DVD - a good movie. On Saturday, our busiest day, we had dinner at the Irish Pub for mom's birthday, then ice cream and cake. And we went to the Jazz Fest in Old Town - beer and good music. And then it was off to her dad's for an hour. Sunday, we saw American Wedding, which was very funny. For dinner, Andrea made fish tacos which were pretty good.

August 1
First off, happy birthday mom! (Well, tomorrow is actually the day, but I will not be at a computer tomorrow.) I added some Las Vegas pictures, specifically, shots from The Venetian. And I added a few humor pages. And, I added a guestbook to my site.

25 days to go for the Krispy Kreme...

Uh oh - feel sorry for the Democrats. The GDP news is good, and this means bad news for the party that is trying to talk down the economy. Now that the prescription drug issue (ie welfare) has been taken away from them, they are really starting to run out of issues. Well, legitimate issues. (Speaking of feeling sorry for the Democrats, it is Rush Limbaugh's 15th anniversary of being on the air nationally.)

July 31
I looked through my old pictures - the ones that survived the hard drive crash - and found a few from Disneyland Paris. Looking at the pictures reminds me of how cold and rainy it was that day. I also added a picture of the Hall of Justice , home of the Superfriends.

Cut out August 8th, 2003

July 30
Added a few new shots from the trip Andrea and I took to the Leelenau peninsula / Traverse City cherry festival.

July 29
Added a few new shots of parks that I have visited. This will mainly be parks in the Lansing area, but I go to a fair amount of State parks, so there will be a little variety.

So there is a gay high school in New York City. Now, it costs $3.2 million for the renovations alone to open this school. With an enrollment of 100 students, that means that the school is costing over $30,000 per student. One of the arguments for this school is that gay students are harassed. Wow! Really? You mean kids are harassed in high school? If you are fat, smart, stutter, or wear the wrong clothes you are harassed in high school. We were all harassed in high school, and every other level of school, and we all got through it. But now, we have to segregate certain people, and I have heard liberal pundits support this. Were these same people supporting Augusta National exclusion of women from their private (non-government funded) club?

July 28
Made a small change to my links page. I noticed that there were a few dead links, so those have been de-activated. I'll check them from time to time to see if the authors have repaired them, but who likes clicking on a link and getting an error? Sometimes it happens on my site, but it's because of evil web gnomes.

My golf scramble went well. My team didn't win - we were about ten strokes away from that - but I did win a polo for getting it closet to the pin. I'll take any excuse to go golfing. We went to Oak Lane in Webberville, which was a nice course. Also, I managed to get through the entire game without losing a ball, which is a miracle for me.

Andrea returned from her vacation on Lake Michigan looking very tan. I laid out too, but on my porch, so there were no waves, but I could here birds and the stereo. So I spent my time updating my web site with new Chicago pictures. (Okay, not really, but I needed a segue.) Also added a new Krispy Kreme photo.

July 24
This is the last day this week I will update my site. Tomorrow, I'm off work for a golf scramble, which should be a lot of fun. Unless I suck, and then it will not be any fun.

Next week, I am adding a guestbook to my site so you can send me messages and provide feedback about my site. I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I finally got around to actually making it. And speaking of updates, here are more Chicago pictures. And, I also added a few Cedar Point pictures as well.

July 23
Catching up a little bit, I have posted a few pictures from our trip to Chicago .

July 22
Here I am, eating McDonald's for the second day in a row. And for dinner last night, I had toast. And when I get some time, I'm going to buy some hot dogs, though I may go for pizza instead. I mean, a large pizza, which you can get at Little Caesar's, is only $5, and it lasts for at least three meals. Tough decisions ahead.

I made some updates to my Leelenau pages. And, the moment you have all been waiting for... a McDonald's in Fruitport.July 21
It was a busy weekend. On Friday, we saw Bad Boys 2, which was very funny. I would definately recommend it. Speaking of, added a new item to my humor site.

On Saturday, we went to Andrea's 10th year high school reunion. Unsurprisingly, I didn't know anyone. But, I still had a good time. We stayed at the Radisson, so we only had a short walk after the reunion, which was at the Lansing Center.

On Sunday, I drove her up to New Era, which sounds like a shampoo, but is actually a town near Lake Michigan. (Yep, even included photos.) She is spending the week with her relatives, so I get cat duty. And I get to eat all her food. On the way there, we happened to find ourselves at the Krispy Kreme in Grand Rapids. Funny how that happened. And on the way back, I stopped at the McDonald's in Fruitport. And no, I didn't make that name up.

Busy day at work - so much to do, so much time. But I did manage to post new pictures from London. I have resigned the Europe site, so it should look a little nicer.

This weekend in Andrea's high school reunion, so that should be interesting. I bought new shoes for the occasion, so you know it must be important.

July 17
Added a few more shots from the Leelenau weekend.

Can someone please tell me why this line in the State of the Union address is such a big issue? I am having problems understanding why a line mentioning the British intelligence regarding Saddam trying to get plutonium from Africa. It was the truth - the Brits did have intelligence, and they still stand by it. Hopefully soon the press will get back to calling John Ashcroft a fascist, or whatever dumb ass thing they make up about him, and then everything will be normal once more.

July 16
Time for some funny stuff - added an item to my humor page.

I found an interesting site from MDOT that tells the lane closures for highways. Pretty handy. And another Krispy Kreme picture.

And a birthday shout out (a little inner city lingo) to Skip.

July 14
For me, it wasn't too busy a weekend. I golfed on Sunday morning with Skip (it's almost his birthday), and did okay. No pars - a couple of bogies though.

So here are a few more shots of our trip to Leelenau. Specifically, fireworks photos. And here are a few Cedar Point shots as well.

July 12
Okay, I'm posting this a day ahead of time, but I just wanted to provide information for you, who obviously have outstanding taste because you are reading my website. Tomorrow, or today - look, Saturday, okay? - I'm going to watch Andrea's team play in the softball tournament. Hopefully they will win, otherwise Andrea will be grouchy and mean, at least until she gets something to eat.

First, war news. Turns out only about 15 artifacts were taken from the Baghdad museum, not hundreds or thousands. I wouldn't look for that information in the nightly news, though.

Now, pictures. I have added a few more shots from the Leelenau area, including the house Andrea and I are going to buy. Okay, she is going to buy it. I don't make State money. And I just can't say no to y'all, so here are some Chicago pictures too.

For a little something different, I added a few Chicago pictures. Poor me - I go on so many trips that I can't keep up with all the posting of the pictures. Speaking of, I am fancy-ing up my Europe 2003 site, so it should look a lot better soon. (I have to specify the year, you know.)

I just received my new Microsoft .NET certification book in the mail, so I have begun studying for my next test. After all, it has been a week since I passed the last one.

I almost forgot - the new season of Big Brother has begun, and it is an interesting one. Andrea and I also watched the premiere of Cupid. That was a fun show because they had all these losers trying to hook up with this attractive successful single woman and her two friends were shooting them down. The blond was the female version of Simon Cowell from American Idol. She was just mean. And of course, I never miss The Amazing Race .

July 10
Democrats have effectively tied up reforms to limit the awards given in malpractice suits. Because apparently to the Dem's, there is no problem with out of control trial lawyers trying to ruin a very necessary industry that exists to save lives.

Added a few items to my humor section. AND, as an added bonus, here are more Leelenau pictures.

July 9
It's official - I have made the reservations for Cancun this winter. It had been so long since I have taken a vacation that I had to do it. And it was relatively inexpensive - less that $1100 apiece for an all-inclusive resort, which includes airfare. So when the tan I have now begins to fade away in the fall, I can renew it until it starts to go away again until spring.

Common Ground was excellent. 3 Doors Down was the best. As they should - they were the headliner. But Seether, Our Lady Peace, and that other band were also good. And, there was a stand selling Krispy Kreme's! I bought some - for charity, of course. It was a fund raiser, so I felt obligated to buy.

And I updated my Leelenau site.

July 8
Tonight is the Common Ground festival, and Andrea and I are going to see 3 Doors Down. Hopefully, it will not rain.

I have added a new section to my gallery for our trip to the Leelenau area. Right now, I have a few shots of our Sutton's Bay B&B, but I will soon have pictures from the Northport fireworks, the Cherry Festival in Traverse City, and Sleeping Bear dunes. Lots of fun.

July 7
Well, Andrea and I are back from our northern excursion. We stayed at the Korner Kottage, an excellent B&B in Sutton's Bay, MI. I usually don't eat a lot of breakfast, but Sharon, the owner, made some great french toast and some kind of quiche-frotada thing. I don't know what it was, but it was very good.

We kept busy during our trip - fireworks in Northport, biking to wineries in the Leelenau Peninsula, the cherry festival, and hiking in the Leelenau State Park. Saw a lighthouse too, and went on a scenic drive of Sleeping Bear. Pictures forthcoming, of course.

More pictures, these ones from Chicago. And I actually spent a few minutes formatting this one so it looks semi-nice.

I passed my first certification test (of three) so I can become a Microsoft Certified Application Developer and make State money. Dare to dream.

July 1
Another busy weekend. On Saturday, I went to Cedar Point. There was a Krispy Kreme stand in the park! How awesome is that. I rode Millennium Force a few times, and got 100 pages read in my book while I was waiting for various coasters. And on the way back, I stopped at the usual spot, the Erie Islands service plaza, for dinner at BK.

Added a few new McDonald's pictures.

June 25
The update you have all been waiting for - another Krispy Kreme photo! Oh yeah, and I also put up some Canterbury pictures if you're intested.

Volleyball was a mess. Not only did we lose all three games, but I jammed my finger, which still hurts. And I had new brakes put on my car, so that was fun. But the Labatt's at Richard's was good, so therefore, it was a good day. And I got to see some Wimbledon tennis.

June 24
For Andrea's birthday, I took her to Jambalaya's, a place I had never been. I had the redfish, she had the crab cakes, and bother were good. And for dessert - bananas foster. It had been three weeks since I had eaten that in Chicago.

The Krispy Kreme is coming along. The building frame is getting close to done. I'll have pictures up soon, probably tomorrow.

June 23
First and foremost, happy birthday Andrea! We plan on celebrating by going to Burger King for lunch, and then going to the Colonial for dinner. She will wear her nicest pair of Daisy Duke's, and maybe I can get in a fist fight after I yell out "Dale Earnhardt sucks!"

This weekend was great. We went up to her mom's house in Tomsonville (no, I had never heard of it either.) The wonderful weather I had ordered came through, and it was in the 70's and 80's. We played nine holes at Crystal Mountain, which is a beautiful course. The 10th hole is a bitch, though. Andrea and I both lost two balls in the water. On the plus side, I got two pars back to back, the highlight of my golfing career. We also did some canoeing, which I had not done in a long time. (This was all on Saturday.) On Sunday, Andrea and I went to Interlochen State Park and did some walking. And then the birthday dinner - the real reason Andrea wanted to go north was the chocolate mousse.

June 20
I'll make it brief. My tyrant project leader has me working on so much stuff right now, I barely have time to breath. But it's a good update, because I have Wales pictures. (Very, very different than whale pictures.) And, here is a new shot of a McDonalds ! This one is in Bath.

Cut out June 30th, 2003

June 18
So now we have a prescription drug program. I am wondering what will now be given away because there is a need. Perhaps we need free electricity for those who cannot afford it. Or free food. I mean, everyone needs food. Or free flights to Florida so that old people can get to their retirement homes without stressing about a long drive.

It has been a busy day of updates. First, I have a new item on my humor page. And, for the big update of the day, I have added three new pictures from London. And not (but not least in my book) is a new shot of the Krispy Kreme.

June 16
The trip that Andrea and I made to Cedar Point was a success. We rode a lot of rides, and I learned something - if you are going there in the morning, get there early. Traffic is awful. I never realized it before because I typically get there before the park opens, and the traffic isn't too bad, and I park fairly close to the entrance. Lesson learned. But here is a picture of Cedar Point .

So, now we are stuck in town until next weekend, when we go north for a few days, which I am looking forward too. Canoeing, hiking, and lots of good pictures await.

June 13
It's Friday the 13th, so avoid hazardous tasks like getting out of bed.

Tomorrow, Andrea and I are supposed to go to Cedar Point. Hopefully, it will not rain. CP has been open over a month and I have not visited, if that tells you how busy I have been. I'm going to take my brand spanking new camera and get some good pictures.

Speaking of pictures, here are some from Wales.

June 12
Andrea is in the midst of planning our 4th of July plans. At this point, she has changed her mind about five times as to where we are going. I think we are now going to the Traverse City area, but I'll believe it when we put the money down.

And I have added a new section to my site - Krispy Kreme! This will be ongoing progress report of the coming Krispy Kreme in Lansing. So enjoy.

June 10
Lucky you, I have begun posting pictures from this years trip to Europe.

June 9
Our weekend in Chicago went well. We took the train, which was no nice. Anytime you can avoid driving in Chicago, I suggest that route. And it was only $28 for a roundtrip ticket. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on the river, which was a nice hotel with a Krispy Kreme. That was a deal sealer right there.

The first night, we at ate the Grand Lux Cafe on Michigan Avenue. It was a great place. The resteraunt itself was beautiful, and the food (we both had fish) was excellent, though Andrea probably would have skipped right to the dessert if she could. She had some kind of glorified Hostess cupcake and I had bananas foster, without the flames. After dinner, we went to the observation deck of the Hancock building to look out at the city by night.

The next day started with Krispy Kreme's, and then we went through Grant Park to the Shedd Aquarium. Then it was lunch at a resteraunt - a glorified food stand - by Buckingham fountain. Then we did some shopping, even stopping at a McDonald's for a Coke. Lots of walking. For dinner, we went to Charlie's Alehouse on Navy Pier for burgers. We went through a funhouse, road a Ferris wheel, had an elephant ear, and then watched the fireworks.

June 3
Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me. I don't feel a day over 31. To celebrate, I went into work 5 minutes later than normal. Last night, we had dinner at the Irish pub in the new mall. They have some excellent fish & chips. And the Coke was good too.

I read this on a travel newsgroup, with regards to Paris:

"it continues today June 3 -no trains, busses -no planes (inland connections), traffic control"

Ah, the French - how they hate to work.

June 2
I had a busy weekend. I am still continuing to unpack. The living room is done, though I am missing a table, so I will need one of those. The second bedroom is getting close, though right now it is filled with empty boxes. My bedroom needs lots of work.

Andrea and I played golf for the first time. Luckily, there was hardly anyone else on the course, because it took us a while to finish up. Must have been the cold and windiness that kept them away. When we took lessons, our instructor said it will be one good golf shot that will keep us coming back to the game. I'm still looking for mine.

On Sunday, I went to Michigan's Adventure. I did not have to wait in line once to ride a roller coaster - it was that dead. After that, I spent a little time at Duck Lake State Park wandering through the trails and then walking along the beach of Lake Michigan. Yep, it's still there. Then I stopped to get Krispy Kreme's, and finally, got home and Andrea made grilled salmon. The things I have to do...

This just in - Shell oil is being sued because they gave away free tickets to the Great White concert, the one where the nightclub burned down and killed lots of people. So how does Shell have a responsibility for this? So, if I buy a candybar at a 7-11, give to a friend, and he chokes on it, I can sue 7-11?

The new Krispy Kreme is a little closer to being here. There is a small KK sign on Lake Lansing where the new store will be. It appears they will be tearing down a house or small office building to make it. Whatever, let's just get it here.

Our golf lessons are finished. I want to golf a little this weekend so I can practice what I learned, lest I forget everything. And I even got a free video tape of my swing. Bad as it looked on the tape.

May 29
Andrea and I are two thirds of the way through our golf lessons. Hopefully, the rain will hold off today so we can finish them off tonight. It has been an enjoyable time, and I have learned quite a bit. So after today, I'll be ready for the course.

The only thing left at the Haslett place is my bike - we got the last few boxes yesterday. So, of course, me townhouse is back to looking messy. Well, messier than it was. Every time I get the living room semi-organized, I bring more boxes. But that is at an end. Now, I just need to spend some time sorting and organizing. Ebay, here I come.

The move is complete... mostly. I have a few boxes worth of stuff back at the old place, but right now, it's just clean up work. The move went pretty fast - the main move on Saturday only took about two hours. It rained a little bit, but nothing serious, so that didn't hamper the event. I still have boxes to go through, but the living room is mostly done, the kitchen is all done, and the bedrooms need some work. So thank you to mom, dad, Skip, and Andrea for all their help.

For the next three nights, Andrea and I have golf lessons. I vowed not to play golf until I had lessons, so now it's time to learn because there are a lot of courses nearby, I have some nice clubs, and I like to be outside without resorting to physical labor. Speaking of being outside, this weekend, we are making our way to Cedar Point. Not since August have I been to CP, so this is a much anticipated trip.

May 23
I started moving boxes into my new place yesterday. My new place is pretty nice, and it has lots of room, which will be a switch. Today is more boxes and some furniture, and tomorrow is the big move, where everything else goes. It actually should be relatively painless. The one thing that concerns me is that it is supposed to rain today and tomorrow. But water dries, and the furniture probably needs a good cleaning anyhow. And now, I have a carport. It seems to leak, so I'll just have to use my car cover.

I have returned from Europe! As always, I had a great time, saw lots of stuff, did lots of things. This time was different for two reasons: I had someone else (my mom) with me, and I actually drove a car. It was an interesting experience, but it wasn't too difficult. I have a ton of pictures, which will take a while to sort out, because I'm moving (starting today), so I'll be busy. But next week I should have a couple to show.

May 6
Tomorrow, I leave for England, so you will not be seeing any updates for a while, unless I find an Internet cafe. I will be returning on May 21 with a whole slew of new pictures, so the fun never ends. Even though I am still adding pictures from trips I took over a year ago. Anyway, talk to you in a few weeks.

May 5
Work has been very busy recently - it must be my taskmaster project leader Andrea. And the fact that I am going on vacation in a few days and I'm trying to get a ton of things done before I leave.

I did manage to post some new Cancun pictures.

April 30
Added a few new items to my humor section. And I also added some pictures from Cancun.

The governor of Illinois has come up with an idea. Because the casinos are so profitable, he wants to take them over to be state-run businesses, keeping the current ownership to run the day to day operations of the casino and paying them a management fee while the state keeps the profits.

Now, what is to stop him from doing this with other profitable businesses? If the White Sox make a lot of money, will the governor decide that, as an elected official, he knows better how to use the money than the owner of the White Sox, whose hard worked gained him the money to buy the team in the first place? What the governor of Illinois wants to do sounds a lot like what Fidel Castro did in Cuba by seizing the businesses there.

And on another note, Cuba was re-elected to the UN human rights commissioner. You can't make this stuff up. Tell me again... why is the UN a relevant organization?

I had a busy weekend. On Saturday, Andrea and I were in a road rally that went around Lansing looking for clues, solving puzzles, and doing strange things in order to get to the end of road and have dinner. It was a lot of fun, and it was a pretty tough game. We came in 3rd place, and I have the ribbon to prove it. Someday, I may write up our long and exciting journey. We are planning on participating in the next one, which will be some time in the fall.

On Sunday, we ran the Race for the Cure, which took place in downtown Lansing. I had a time I was happy with - for the 3.1 miles, I ran an average time of 7:17. And I had the shortness of breath to prove it. But there was lots of food and water (the bagels were especially good), and it was for a good cause.

Onto politics: here is an interesting link about the fat lying bastard Michael Moore. It basically is a movement to get his Oscar revoked because he basically made up a bunch of stuff for his movie, and documentaries are supposed to be facts.

April 25
I did my last jog before Sunday's 5k. It went pretty well, so hopefully, I'll do okay during the race. To celebrate my run, here are some Disneyland Paris pictures.

April 24
Andrea had her first softball practice. And her last - the games start next week. I did my job of watching, and drank a beer when it was over. To celebrate the start of the softball season, I have added Cancun pictures.

I forgot to mention this: on Saturday night, Andrea and I went to the Hannah Center (in East Lansing) and saw a bellydancing show. It was a good change. It wasn't like being in Morocco again or anything, but it was entertaining, and I enjoyed the free baklava. Before the show, we went to Begar's Banquet. The fish was very good, though the wine was only okay. Maybe I should have had the Fat Bastard instead of the Smoking Loon. Yes, those are actual wine names.

Hey, France is pushing the UN to lift oil sanctions on Iraq. It couldn't possibly be because they are trying to cover up the billions of dollars that France and the UN siphoned from the money that was supposed to go to the Iraqi people, could it? Nah. Those French are good guys.

And I added some pictures from Cancun.

April 22
The pictures keep coming. More Disneyland Paris photos for your enjoyment. And I have also added an item to my humor section, something from my cousin.

I had dinner with Andrea, dad, and Denice at Houlihan's yesterday. Apparently, there was some kind of mass hysteria. They thought there was some kind of cloth that once hung from the ceiling. As I don't remember it, it could not possibly have existed.

People, it's Earth Day. And what better way to celebrate this utterly useless day that to debunc it - so here are the top 5 Earth Day lies.

First off, my stepsister Naomi had her baby, Ian. I have no idea of things like birth time and weight. I'm a man. But the baby looked like a baby, and not a goat or a dresser, so everything was fine.

Easter dinner was a two part affair. The first part, at mom's, was the beef roast and potatoes. Pretty normal. The second part was at Andrea's, which was chocolate shakes and popcorn. And we watched The Ring, which was a horror movie. Something about telemarketers.

I hear the liberal and Democrat complaints that companies like Haliburton and Bechtel are getting contracts in Iraq because they have connections to the Bush administration. This is going to hurt you liberals out there, but these companies were chosen because of their skill at performing the tasks that are needed. Bechtel built the Hoover Dam, so they definately have the know how to do engineering work in Iraq. And the contracts were also given, I'm sure, because the President trusts these companies.

April 18
About the stolen pots in Iraq. Let's face it - the museum workers took those artifacts. Signs point to an inside job, stealing the best of the items, and your common uneducated Iraqi is not going to be able to tell one vase from another. Of course, the liberals want to blame Bush. They want to blame Bush for anything and everything because they are hateful, spiteful people who care more about a pot or an endangered cockroach than an American soldier. I think the professor at Columbia spoke for the extremist liberal mindset when he wished for a million Mogadishu's (ie millions of Americans killed.)

Remember, Bush was elected, not Gore. Get over your bitterness. Maybe in 2008, when Bush cannot run again, you can get another completely corrupt person like Bill Clinton back in office.

Anywho, you can happily go to my Disneyland Paris pages and check out the new pictures.

I foolishly tried to take a jog yesterday, only two days after I raced. That was a mistake. It was an even bigger mistake to run the 5k course that Andrea and I will be running in the Race for the Cure in two weeks. It wasn't exactly my best performance. Next time, more than two days rest. At least until later in the season.

I added a few more pictures (four, to be exact) to my Disneyland Paris pages.

One more thing - there is a new item in my humor section.

April 15
It's tax day people, so if you haven't filed by now, what the hell are you waiting for? I've already gotten my money back. Except for the $3 the City of Lansing owes me. They better pay up, too.

I decided to give Andrea a break, so I made dinner last night. It was some stir fry - nothing too fancy, because I'm not a fancy man. I just don't have the wardrobe for it.

April 14
It was a busy weekend. On Saturday, I had dinner at the fish market Andrea, her mom, and my mom. That blackened mahi mahi was some good stuff - spicy, too. Then we saw Bringin' da Noise, Bringin' da funk. The theater was about 155 degrees, and only about half the audience was left conscious at the end. That show also taught me that I am apparently missing "da Beat." This was quite disconcerting for me to find out. I may need counseling.

Then on Sunday was the Race for the Place. It was a nice run. I placed where I wanted to place - somewhere in the middle. And at the end, there were cookies and tiny sandwhiches. And I even go on the news, though of the minute or so I talked to the cameraman, only about 10 seconds got on the air. But I taped it so I can enjoy seeing myself talking forever. Or, I could just look in a mirror.

Quick! If you go to the WLNS Channel 6 website, you can see the video clip of me on the news! Scroll to the bottom of the page and there is a little box of different video clips on the right hand side of the screen. Click the one that mentions the Safe Place race.

For the first time in over four months (yes, it has been that long), I have added new pictures to my web site! Woohoo! These are of Disneyland Paris, which I saw last year.

April 10
I sometimes wonder what it is like to be a liberal.

You know the people. The ones who have the "No blood for oil" signs, who go to peace protests, who act as human shields, who go before Congress and say that we need more inspectors. (Yes, you, Democrats.)

I wonder this because of what I saw yesterday, with the celebration of the Iraqi people after the statue of Saddam was torn down. These people didn't seem to be angry at the US for being there. They didn't fight to the death to protect Saddam, a tyrant. They welcomed the US troops, they were happy we were there. I hope that Iraq will be like Kuwait, an Arab country that a few weeks ago had demonstrations FOR the United States. They appreciate us because we liberated their country, and we did not stay as conquerors. Hopefully, Iraq will be the same way.

Back to my question. I ask it because liberals were so against the war, and I wonder what it feels like to see all the jubilation at the arrive of US troops. If the liberals had their way, Saddam would still be in power, Iraq would still be under his control, and the torture chambers would still be in use. I wonder how it feels to be so wrong.

April 9
From the "left coasters are crazy" file, a community in California has just banned de-clawing a cats. Something about being cruel to animals. I think it is cruel not to declaw. I mean, just think of the pain the animal would go through if it clawed my speakers. Now that would be painful for the animal.

I added a new page to my humor site.

Yesterday, I nearly froze to death in my office. Hopefully, today will be better. So far it is, because I can feel my fingers, which is a plus. Also yesterday, the great mouse hunter came by looking for the mouse that has been running down the hall. I haven't seen it lately.

I won one of my NCAA bracket, though I didn't win very much. Even though Kansas, my pick, didn't win, I still had enough points to come out on top of all others. And, Andrea owes me dinner.

I have added a new linke to my politics page. Speaking of, have you heard the latest from the media? They now say that Saddam was so easy that was he was not really even a threat in the first place. Now, think back to the first week of the war, and how they said it was sooo difficult - there was much more resistance than was anticipated. Oh yes, the two faced press once again show itself.April 7
Snow in April. Why would you want to live anywhere else when you never know what it's going to be like from day to day?

My NCAA brackets turned out pretty well! I had picked both teams in the finals, so that was pretty cool. I have never had that happen before. It's my lucky year. Tonight is the night of the finals, so I'll be parked in front of the TV again.

Not too much went on this weekend. I did some walking in the trails - a little cold, just how I like it. Andrea and I watched the Final Four at Buddies. There were actually people there watching soccer. Don't they realize that this is the United States, and there are other sports to watch other than soccer? The only thing more boring to watch is bowling. I mean, I like to bowl, but I don't want to watch complete strangers do it.

I have added an item to my humor section. This was an action e-mail that I received. It is pretty tempting. I mean, someone from Nigeria couldn't possibly be trying to rip me off by asking me for my bank account number. I am thinking of replying using a phony bank account number. The cool thing about having a web site is that you can set up phony e-mail addresses, which actually forward mail to a real e-mail address, but when I'm done with it, I can delete the phony address and *poof* no more e-mail from the spammers to that address. Fun stuff.

Oh, and I also added this item from Dennis Miller. Pretty good.

Last night, dad, Denice, and I ate at Los Gringos, some dumpy little Mexican place on Logan. I hadn't been there in a while, though we did have about the nicest waitress I have ever had. The food was not bad, though it wasn't as good as the chicken fried rice or baked ziti Andrea made earlier in the week. And yes, I am indeed sucking up.

On the political front, in the section labeled under "Democrats are bastards", Presidential candidate John Kerry (future loser) said that this country needs a regime change, joking at the goal of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This was the same person who days before told a group of fireman that he supported President Bush on the war. Ah, love those two faced Democrats.

March 31
This weekend was a Krispy Kreme weekend. I drove over to Grand Rapids to get a dozen KK's (not to be confused with the KKK, which Robert Byrd (D-NC) used to be a part of.) Only a few more months until the Lansing one opens. (KK, not KKK.) I also dropped by the Westwood Mall. Ah, memories of my brief time in Grand Rapids. Then I went to the Ionia State Park and did some hiking around the little lake they have.

The weekend started so well, with MSU beating Maryland to go to the Elite Eight. But, reality has come crashing down, and they got beat by Texas. Still, it was a good run - better than was expected.

Andrea made salmon last night, which was very good, even ranking above the vaunted McDonald's filet o' fish. I think was made the meal were the green beans, which I washed and snapped, because I am very good.

So anyway, I have added something from my humor page. (This one was from my uncle.)

Also, here is a funny article. It is about how hackers replaced the Al-Jazeera propaganda web site with a picture of the American flag.

March 24
I found a link for all of us who are not pseudo- Communist, anti-war people: Freeper.org. It gives information about those of us who are for the troops and their mission and have the capacity to understand why this war in Iraq is needed.

But hey, let's spread a little love! So found out how to say I love you in many different languages, compliments of my cousin, at my humor page.

March 18
First off, I have added a new link to my humor page. Clinton jokes from my cousin.

I watched President's Bush's speech last night, and I was very happy to hear that we will be invading Iraq soon. It's about time the US protected it's national security interests and that the people of Iraq were finally free. And, predictably, Tom Daschle was out there complaining that Bush was a warmonger, that we needed a UN resolution. Well, if we had a resolution, we would still be sending troops, so what is the difference? He is such an asshole.

Cut out March 31st, 2003

I would like to personally thank the leftist media, the anti-war protesters, the French, and the Germans. By their continued support of Saddam Hussein, by reinforcing his belief that the UN would stop the US from performing it's rightful actions of defending it's sovereignty, they have strengthened the evil dictator's belief that the US would not attack. And because of he has continued to defy us, now war is inevitable. The Iraqi people thank you, crazy leftists, for the freedom which they are to gain.

March 14
Have you heard about the flight attendant for Northwest that gave Xanex laced apple juice to a crying child? Sure, it may be illegal and potentially dangerous, but I support this guy 100%. Anyone who has ever flown has been near a screaming child, and it is hell. Especially on an overseas flight, like the one in the news story (I've flown the Amsterdam to Detroit route.) He should get a raise and another 100 pills for his caring concern for the other 200 passengers on the flight.

Well, Iraq is moving troops to the borders and rigging the oil fields to blow them up. If we would not have waited for the cowardly and weak UN, the war would already be over. Now, it is even more dangerous for our troops.

March 12
Yet another update to my humor site. Note: I am only printing what Jane sent me. I, of course, hold nothing against blonds. (I'm just trying to avoid getting more work.)

March 11
Ah, those crazy Iraqi's. There was a report that some British paratroopers were doing training on the Iraqi border and several Iraqi soldiers crossed the border and tried to surrender. They were told that the war has not started yet, so they could not surrender. What an elite group.

So much for Saddam destroying his weapons. A page that was left off the Hans Blix report details cluster munitions designed to deliver biologial weapons were discovered last week. So now we have the Iraqis trying to deceive the US and the UN trying to deceive the US. Tell me again why we need permission to defend our national interests?

On a lighter note, here is a new addition to my humor site.

March 6
divine is going to be delisted from NASDAQ. Man, it keeps getting better!

First, I have added a new item to the humor section (thanks Jane.)

Now, onto business. With the capture of this Mohammed guy in Pakistan, it proves that the US can fight against Iraq and Al Quaeda at the same time. We are not incompetent (like the French are.) Speaking of worthless entities, why is the UN even regarded as an organization to consult? The place is a joke. Libya is on the human rights commission. And the Democratic party? Please. Al Sharpton is one of the leading candidates. How can you take a political party serious when a guy like him is actually in the running? But, of course, Feiger was actually a candidate for governor here in Michigan, so go figure.

March 1
Ah, March 1st. The anniversary of the founding of the company I once worked for. I'm getting teary eyed. No, actually, that's dust from my computer - I had not turned on my computer for over two weeks. Hey, Istare at a computer nine hours a day. Like I want to look at it more when I get home.

One of the top ranked Al Quaeda guys was caught today. I wonder what the nay-sayers who spew talk about us not being able to fight Iraq and Al Quaeda at the same time are going to say now. I'm sure they'll say some kind of doom and gloom, like that always do.

February 27
I read a funny article on the Fox news web site. A group of Republican students at UC-Berkley held a bake sale, charging different prices for the cookies based on the color of the buyers skin. Whites paid the most, while blacks paid the least, and other minorities paid differing amounts. This was to show the absurdity of the race based admissions of some universities. And, of course, there was a Democrat representative that gave the usual response - Republicans are racist. Democrat politians are really one of the most uncreative bunch of people you will ever meet. They need some new ideas.

February 25
I read this quote on the Yahoo message boards:

DVIN has lost 99.96% of its maximum market cap. A $1,000,000 investment in DVIN at the high would have been worth $455 at yesterday's close.

And yes, today it has happened - divine has filed for chapter 11 protection. Woohoo! I feel like celebrating the death of that awful piece of crap company.

February 24
divine stock is at ten cents right now. The rumor is that bankruptcy will be announced today. Good. I'm sure the employees have been getting ready for it - I know I was ready, stocking up on cash before my layoff.

Andrea and I went to Grand Rapids to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. It was a good exhibit, and I learned a few things, which I have since promptly forgotten. And Andrea got to play with forensic toys in the other part of the museum. Oddly enough, on Saturday, when we got several inches of snow, the weather wasn't bad until we got back to Lansing. So it was a pizza and move night.

February 20
I was reading Newsweek and saw a brief article on the weapons that will be used in the upcoming war. One of them was the Longbow targeting system, which is placed on Apache helicopter. It can target 16 targets at once. That is pretty cool.

February 18
Last time I checked, the stock for divine, the company I used to work for in Grand Rapids, is trading around .17 a share. I'm hoping the bankrupcy announcements comes soon - I plan on celebrating.

I ate pretty good this weekend. Andrea made filet mignon on Saturday and mom made saurkraut on Sunday. And last night, for President's Day (yes, I got the day off), Andrea made some kind of chicken / Mexican casserole. What else did I do besides eat... oh, I took a few walks in the woods - Saturday was particularly cold - and we saw Daredevil. Not bad, though Jennifer Garner had WAY too many clothes on.

I heard on the radio this morning that the protesters in Lansing cost the city over $16,000, mostly because of police overtime pay. Great job, communist bastards. In the middle of a budget crunch, your absolutely pointless display of your complete lack of understanding about what needs to be done to combat evil has cost us even more money. You are all wastes of humanity.
