Though I have never been asked why I named my site Wunderhund, I know you're curious. You are, admit it. So here goes.

When I was working at Babbage's in the Meridian Mall back between 1990-1995 (yes, I spent five years in a computer software store), there was a video game system called a 3D0. This system did not sell very well, as it cost $700, and very few people in their right mind would pay that for a video game system.

In any case, one of the games was called Wonder Dog. I don't really know what it was about, but I'm sure it involved some kind of wondrous dog. Around this time, I was taking a German class in college, so I translated wonder dog into German, and the word is wunderhund. I thought this was a good name for a web site - I can't explain my logic - and knew that when I finally got a web site, I would name it Wunderhund. So here we are.

As an aside, the Babbage's in the Meridian Mall closed several years ago, and now it is a maternity store. It hurts to see that, being I spent several fun years working around video and computer games, and now the only peopl ethat go into the store are pregnant women. It just doesn't seem right.
