This is the Le Pretre Mansion. According to Frommer's, this is where a murder occurred in the 19th century. A wealthy Turk rented this house. The man was supposed to have been the brother of a sultan. He had lavish parties and surrounded himself with beautiful women. One night, the neighbors heard shrieks coming from inside. The next morning, the turk and his women were found dead. New Orleans ghost experts say that exotic music and shrieks can be heard from inside from time to time.
