| Where else would a 'tour' of Paris start but the Eiffel
Tower. Obviously, it's quite visible from almost anywhere in Paris.
When I first arrived in Paris, Chris was there to pick me up. I'm very glad for that - not for seeing Chris, but because I really did not know how to get around the city. I mean, they speak French. French, for goodness sake. What kind of commie bastards speak French? Anyway, we got off at the Metro station at Anatole France, then went to his apartment where I promptly frightened Sarah by my very presence. I have that effect on women. But she soon calmed down, and we were able to talk Melissa out of the bedroom, but the appearance of my big blue hat Union Jack hat quickly drove her back. So, we headed to downtown Paris and the first thing we did was go to the Eiffel Tower. |

| Apparently, the Eiffel Tower is normally a very busy place. (I found this out firsthand the next day.) But when we went, there was no line and we got right up to the top. And it was quite a view... | |
