This is Downtown Disney, my favorite area of the Disneyland Resort. It is filled with shops and resteraunts, and even if you don't want to visit either of the parks, you can still wander around DD for free (including free parking.) This was taken a bit before I entered Disneyland. The colorful building on the left is the World of Disney store, where I spent close to $300 in one pass through. In the center of the picture is The Grand Californian, one of the three hotels operated by Disney.The monorail runs through the hotel, which opens into California Adventure. It seemed like a nice place, but I'm only a web developer, and could not afford such a place. I stayed at the $65 Homestead.
