Here is an arch I saw on the way from my hotel to central Madrid. I'm sure it commemorates something important, but I have no idea what that may be. All I know is that you need to move fast to keep out of the way. Near the arch was the most impressive post office I have ever seen. I don't know how the service was, but the building was quite nice.
