Here we have the Black Friars pub. Originally, a monastary had stood where the
pub is now in the 13th century. The building itself was built in 1875, and it
is very oddly shaped. The front part of the building is shaped like a wedge, though
the pub extends to the building on the left side of the picture. I stopped in
for a pint of stout, as it was only a mile from my hotel near Southwark Street.
Inside the hotel, there are many carvings of friars in black wood. It was crowded,
as it was a Friday night, but worth the stop.
