The weather was not always nice. There was a good twenty minutes where the sun did not shine and, in fact, it rained. This is a picture from my favorite spot on the beach right before the rains fell. I had to run (read: casually stroll) back to my room as it started to rain and drink from the mini-bar (remember, it's an all inclusive place, so even the mini-bar drinks are free).

The only bad part about being confined to quarters was the lack of quality television. The rooms had CNN (of course) and two other English speaking channels. And it was entertaining to watch football in Spanish. I'm just glad I brought a lot of books.
